Snapshot 4 (5-2-2017 4-39 PM)

I was dropped on my head as a child. My sister and I were playing tug of war between our cribs and she pulled me out. I guess you could say I lost a tug of war game at 4 years old which may or may not have altered my entire life course.

I’ve lived in various padded rooms with 4 walls. Sometimes there were no windows at all. When I don’t take my sleeping pills, a white background is scary because I can clearly see outlines of the Seven Dwarves working industrially.

I became sick at 16 with some viral thingy (like pneumonia or mono) and started having seizures. Since then, my unrelenting research, trips to specialists and my Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree have not helped. In fact, I might have been in another dimension when I went to school. I may have blocked the whole thing out, but bits and pieces come back to me. Like helicobacter pylori. Sort of a badass microorganism.

I have no pets, a year-round Christmas tree, and haven’t managed to keep any plant alive. I am not married and have no kids. I do, however, have a very large life sized bear called Kelto who has been my constant companion for over 15 years.

I am a uniquely disorganized angry person who has not learned to adult. I wish to network with others who see the humor in everyday life.

And yes, this is a picture of me at 5 years old, holding up a live mouse I waited patiently for 3 hours to catch.

  1. Hi lady! Thanks for the follow!

I have a number of country mouse stories – I think mice are adorable. Diseased-riddled, maybe, but adorable. 😉

PS – The disease-riddled part didn’t stop me from catching them either. I could have easily been a Darwinism story.

    1. You are welcome 🙂
It’s nice to know there are others out there that think that mice are cute. My mom was a clean freak so it was odd that she would have taken this pic but I can guess that day was a learning experience for me on the “disease-riddled” part of the experience. Funny, I remember what happened before the pic, but not after. Weird…..how our memory works.

  2. I caught a mouse (alive!) in my parents kitchen when I was 34. In his defense, he was actually missing an eye and I snuck up on his blind side. I couldn’t kill him; I turned him loose out in the Wild where I’m sure something else ate him…I should probably have fashioned a tiny eye patch for him and given him a needle to use as a sword. He may have had a fighting chance then ;).

    1. Wow really? That’s awesome. Had it been me, I would have done the same thing, well, maybe I wouldn’t have thought of the eye patch thing. But I definitely would have taken Elsa’s advice and let it go that’s for sure. I still think mice are really, really cute.
