Kelto didn’t make the cut for this project. He’s too young.
In this video, I share a few more “family members.” The pink elephant is called “Pinky” and is 40-something years old. Not much left of the whites of his eyes – and the mouth was either non-existent or was stitched on at some point with red embroidery thread.
The brown teddy bear is called “Teddy” and is also pushing 40. There is a wind-up device on his back that plays the classic “Lullaby and Good Night” song. I don’t know if it’s a classic or if that’s what the song is called. However, it is early in the morning and my brain fog is rolling on in. So I’ll just leave it there.
The smaller brown bear in the thumbnail is called “Cocoa” and I’m quite sure he is a koala. He’s about 35 years old.
Here is my cover of “Lullaby for a Soldier” in the style of Maggie Siff of “Sons of Anarchy” fame. I hope you like!
That was truly lovely, Marlies! I love your “soldiers.” Our beloved stuffies do soldier on with us when times are happy and especially when times are tough.
Hugs to you and your “soldiers”

Thank you so much Pearl! I actually hadn’t looked at the piece with that perspective. I love being around creative people like you. And I was most definitely thinking of you when I put this together. Actually the bears were an afterthought – and they turned out to be just perfect!!

Yes, your bears and elephant make the video. Your well loved companions.
I pinned the video to my Music Muses Pinterest board so I wouldn’t lose it, and hopefully, some others will enjoy it as well. 😊
More hugs to all!

I’m still learning how to properly use my new condenser microphone and it is proving to be quite the challenge! I’m certainly not a sound engineer but I think I’m about to find out some of the basics. With a microphone this great, I should be getting much better sound quality. Workin’ on it….
