Purses represent, for me, digging and frustration.
I find the digging and negativity to be time-consuming, energy-consuming, and exasperating.
Therefore I usually only have a small purse or none at all. I only had this one because I was cat-sitting and I needed somewhere convenient for my traveling pharmacy.
Being poor and sad in life does not necessarily mean that I should be poor and sad in spirit and that something funny definitely can be created out of pain and misery!
Like this video. And the stupidity it mirrors. Actually heard in a beauty guru’s video:
“OMG this purse, I got SUCH a great deal on this [insert name of high-end designer] bag! It caught my eye in this adorable shop in Greece and it was only USD$400! Sorry folks, you can’t get it anywhere for that price anymore!”
SERIOUSLY?!?
It’s a bag. You put your shit in it.
If you choose to watch my video, it is really stupid and makes for great background noise and there is a cute cat at the end.
I am a purse devotee. I cannot NOT have my purse with me….It’s full of my accoutrement. Some of which is stuff that my kids need almost as much as I do. And I HATE not being prepared. I might be a touch paranoid. And I have generalized anxiety disorder… Having all that Accoutrement makes me feel less freaked about life generally. 😉

…though in reality, my purse begins to collect things gradually that may or may not be necessary, over time, until it feels like I’m lugging bricks…and then I go through it, and take out the 78 tubes of lipgloss/lipstick, 17 extra tubes of lotion, 39 hair ties, 15 pens (BLUE PENS. THEY MUST BE BLUE PENS.), and various and sundry bits of trash–snotty dried tissues, candy wrappers, etc. And then my purse is MUCH MUCH lighter (so I can put my gun in it :D…concealed carry, natch. Which makes my purse heavy enough to be a deadly weapon on its own. 😉 )

Oh, the things I could do if I could only carry a gun…evil laugh…SMILE. Just kidding of course.

Well, it’s mostly the makeup gurus out there that I’m trolling lol. Like the people in high fashion say that “a bag is more than just an accessory. It is a piece of iconography used to express individuality.” I think that was from The Devil Wears Prada. Your purse actually has a practical, no-nonsense, real-life application. Whereas a lot of accoutrement in high fashion is just laughable and a waste of animal skin.
